We are seeking a dedicated and professional

Dental Nurse

to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will provide essential chairside support to our dentists/clinicians, ensuring high standards of patient care and infection control. Duties & Responsibilities



Clinical Support:

Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of treatments (general dentistry, restorative, exams, etc.), anticipating the clinician's needs.

Patient Care:

Greet patients into the surgery, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit, particularly those who may be nervous.

Infection Control:

Manage the decontamination room (LDU), ensuring all instruments are sterilized and stored strictly in accordance with HTM 01-05 guidelines.

Preparation:

Set up and close down surgeries daily, ensuring all necessary materials, instruments, and equipment are ready for specific procedures.

Record Keeping:

Assist with administrative tasks such as charting, updating patient notes on the system, and processing digital radiographs.

Stock Control:

Monitor surgery stock levels and coordinate with the team to ensure supplies are replenished.

Teamwork:

Work collaboratively with reception and other clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of the daily diary.

Skills & Qualifications



Essential:



GDC Registration:

You must be a qualified Dental Nurse registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).

Hepatitis B:

Proof of Hepatitis B immunization status.

Indemnity Insurance:

Valid professional indemnity insurance.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to interact effectively with patients and the clinical team.

Patient Focus:

A compassionate approach with the ability to provide reassurance to patients.

Desirable:



Software Experience:

Knowledge of dental practice management software (

Dentally

experience is preferred).

Adaptability:

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining a friendly demeanour.

Additional Skills:

Experience in specific fields (e.g., implants, orthodontics) or sedation training is advantageous but not mandatory.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week

Work Location: In person
