Foxbury Dental was started to enable our Principal Dentist, Carmen to provide dentistry to her local community in a caring and responsible way. We are looking for an experienced Dental Nurse to join the Foxbury Dental family located in Husbands Bosworth, Leicestershire. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as we look to develop and grow the practice.
In addition to general dentistry we offer Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants (by referral) and have a special interest in orthodontics.
Training and Experience
Each candidate must have at least one, ideally two years of past in-surgery experience and will be given training to bring you up to speed with the Foxbury way/standard on arrival, plus on-going on-the-job training thereafter. Your personal development and general wellbeing are of the utmost importance to us, so much so that we will support you with ongoing training (CPD), strive to deliver a relaxing environment to work in and provide personal development reviews (PDRs) bi-annually to shape and develop your personal goals.
Essential requirements:
Must have up to date immunisations .
An active GDC registration.
Excellent communication skills.
Be on-time, polite and professional.
Friendly, motivated, with a positive and flexible approach to work.
Knows how to work within a team and ask for help when needed.
Good organisational skills and able to support others.
Can work with documented processes and procedures with ease.
Being understanding and supportive with patients.
Caring and compassionate to others around them
Not afraid to go the extra mile when required
Has and uses their own initiative to work smart and to get things done
A driving license, if not local to the practice.
Good computer skills and note taking abilities.
A calm and friendly telephone manner.
Responsibilities and Duties
Apart from your general nursing duties in surgery, supporting the dentist to deliver excellent patient care, we would expect you take responsibility for setting up and cleaning down surgeries between patients and at the start and end of each day. You will oversee making sure materials are stocked up and available for treatments, and that instruments are cleaned and ready for when needed. We expect you to put the health and safety of yourself and patients at the forefront of your duties. You may also have to cover on reception when needed.
