Head Dental Nurse - Full Time at Wokingham, RG40 2EE

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and confident

Head Dental Nurse

to lead our nursing team and support the smooth day-to-day running of our busy, well-established dental practice.

This is a key leadership role, ideal for a dental nurse who enjoys supporting both patients and colleagues, maintaining high clinical standards, and contributing to the delivery of outstanding patient care.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday: 08:30 - 17:30

Key Responsibilities

Lead, support, and supervise the dental nursing team Ensure compliance with CQC standards, infection control, and clinical governance at all times Provide chairside support to dentists and the wider clinical team when required Manage nursing rotas, holiday requests, and sickness/absence cover Oversee stock control, equipment maintenance, and daily surgery readiness Support the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of nursing staff Act as a key point of contact for nursing-related queries and concerns Assist management with audits, compliance processes, and general practice organisation

About You

GDC registered Dental Nurse (essential) Previous experience as a

Head Dental Nurse

or in a senior nursing role (preferred) Strong leadership, organisational, and time-management skills Confident communicator with a calm, professional approach Excellent understanding of CQC standards and cross-infection control Able to lead by example and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Passionate about patient care and team development
