We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. We are a private, independent clinic based in South Belfast. The ideal candidate should have a current GDC registration, however, we will also consider trainee dental nurse candidates. Renewal of registration, along with Indemnity, will be funded by the practice. They will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting dental procedures and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. This role will also require reception duties therefore the candidate will be required to have strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a professional approach to our patients.

Practice opening hours are Monday - Thursday 9.00 am to 5.30 pm, Friday 9.00 am - 1.00 pm

Hours will be for 3 - 4 days per week.

Salary will be 14 - 15 per hour, based on experience.

Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with regulatory standards. Manage appointment schedules and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

A recognized qualification (or training towards this) in dental nursing is essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems. A genuine passion for patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
