Overview


We are looking for a full time and part-time professional and friendly Dental Nurse / Receptionist to join our well established predominantly Private Dental Practice.

Days: Patient appointments

8am to 3pm Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri

9am to 5pm Thursday

Hours to be discussed at interview, dependent upon role.

This is a permanent positon for a candidate with a mature outlook who wants to contribute to the practice longterm. Our perfect candidate would be a qualified dental nurse who would be able to offer a dual role as receptionist as well as providing nursing cover if required (emergency /holiday).

The successful candidate should be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth running of the reception area. The position is suitable for individuals with a passion for patient care and administrative excellence.

Responsibilities



Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Able to assist more vulnerable patients in a caring and relaxed way. Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders efficiently using IT systems Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations Handle patient check-in and check-out processes with organisational precision Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, invoicing, and processing payments Support the dental team with general administrative duties as required Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times Provide chairside clinical assistance to Dentist or Hygienist and practice roles and responsibilities of Dental Nurse.

Experience



Qualified Dental Nurse Strong IT skills, including familiarity with Software of Excellence / Exact and Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure Ability to demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality at all times
