We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a high standard of patient care and maintaining efficient clinic operations. Duties



Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and setting up necessary equipment. Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients. Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. Support patients with their queries, offering reassurance and clear communication throughout their visit. Manage appointment scheduling and organise clinic workflows efficiently. Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dental practice in accordance with health and safety standards. Assist with administrative tasks such as stock control and ordering supplies as needed.

Requirements



Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare setting, preferably in dentistry or nursing. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software and basic office applications. Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail. A recognised qualification in nursing or dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for those eager to learn. Qualifications & Experience



Qualified Dental Nurse (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / NEBDN or equivalent) or trainee nurse (if applicable) Current registration with the relevant dental regulatory body (e.g. GDC) Previous dental nursing experience preferred but not essential (for trainee roles)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 38 per week
