Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide high-quality patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems effectively. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols and sterilisation of instruments. Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up calls, and reminders to optimise patient flow within the practice. Collaborate with other dental team members to create a welcoming environment for patients. Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies. The practice provide dental implants, cosmetic and orthodontic treatments.

Requirements

Qualified Dental Nurse or trainee with experience Strong patient care skills with a genuine interest in promoting oral health. Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues. Highly organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a dental practice is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
