As our practice is growing in size, we are looking for a friendly, patient-focused dental nurse to join our expanding team. Oradent Dental Care treats both NHS and private patients in the local community.

Supporting You:


The successful candidate will be fully supported by the site Practice Manager. In addition to this you will also receive the support of our Senior Management Team; which currently includes: HR Manager, Operations Director, Business Support Manager.

Hours:

42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Monday - Saturday, Flexible shift pattern

Overview of Role:


The role of a Dental Nurse and a Trainee Dental Nurse is to work alongside and assist Dentists and Hygienists in the care of patients. With the view to achieve excellent customer service, quality and delivery performance that are in line with company strategy, goals and values.

Jobs tasks can include:

Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Maintain CPD and training matrix in line with the company policies To provide chairside assistance to all clinicians and the procedures that may be involved To comply with current infection control procedures and policies Keep full, accurate patient records and update patient records keeping in with GDPR policies Be familiar with all the dental services we offer Be confident to work with computerised dental systems (training will be given in Dentally) Monitor, support and reassure patients along with giving appropriate patient advice. Support the patient and their colleagues if there is a medical emergency. Ensure surgeries are well stocked/maintained at all times. Follow company policies and procedures at all times. Reception and Decon cover may be required

Qualifications



GCSE or equivalent

Desirables



Qualified Dental Practice Nursing: 2 years (preferred) Certificate in Dental Radiography (or equivalent) Sedation or Implant Experience/Qualifications

Skills



Able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and adaptability Maintain high standards of patient care Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required. Deliver high standards of care to our patients Commitment to further training and self-development.
