At Smart Dental Academy we are constantly seeking to improve and provide the best possible training for our apprentices. Having recently completely revamped our training model we have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated individuals, able to work on their own initiative and also within a team, to join our Smart Dental Academy family.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the coaching and mentoring of apprentices studying the Level 3 Dental Nurse Extended Diploma and Level 2 Functional skills in Mathematics.

They will hold a relevant assessors award (TAQA/A1/CAVA) and tutoring (AET) qualification or be working towards them. We may consider this as a trainee post, full support will be provided, though the cost of both courses, will be the responsibility of the candidate.

The tutor post will require you to plan and deliver teaching and learning that engages and challenges learners to develop new skills, behaviours, and knowledge. The theoretical knowledge will be delivered in a classroom-based environment. As an assessor you will be required to visit learners in practice to carry out workplace observations and performance reviews, throughout the Northwest of England and therefore a full driver's licence is essential.

Qualifications and Experience



Essential:

Level 3 Dental Nursing Qualification (C&G/NEBDN) Current GDC registration Proven experience working as a dental nurse Awareness of the latest dental practices, techniques, and educational methodologies. Driving Licence and access to a car at all times

Desirable:

CAVA and AET qualifications (or equivalent) Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring trainee dental nurses Experience of assessing dental skills and knowledge in line with recognised City & Guilds standards

Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically with learners and colleagues Capable of delivering complex information in a clear and engaging manner, both in writing and orally Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of learners

Time Management and Organisational Skills:

Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage workloads efficiently, meeting deadlines and managing competing demands Strong organisational skills to prepare, deliver, and assess a variety of educational content Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances

Attention to Detail:

A high level of accuracy when assessing clinical work and educational progress Ability to identify gaps in knowledge or skills and suggest appropriate strategies for development.

Desirable:

Familiarity with e-learning technologies and platforms for online teaching and assessment Ability to adapt teaching and assessment strategies to suit various learning styles.

Assessment and Feedback Skills:

Experience in assessing both clinical and theoretical skills in line with professional standards Ability to provide constructive, supportive, and timely feedback to learners to foster improvement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 27,350.00-29,250.00 per year

8 hour shift Monday to Friday
