The Courtyard Dental Care, a well-established mixed NHS and private dental practice in central Cardiff, is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead and support our dedicated team.
This is a key leadership role with real scope to make an impact -- ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and wants to play a hands-on part in the day-to-day success of a busy practice.
About the Practice
We are a reputable, long-standing dental practice offering a wide range of NHS and private treatments to a loyal and growing patient base. Our team of experienced clinicians and support staff work closely to deliver high standards of care in a supportive, professional setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the daily operations of the practice
Support and develop a positive, productive working environment for all staff
Ensure full compliance with HIW, NHS, and internal clinical governance requirements
Manage HR processes including recruitment, rotas, absence, appraisals, and development
Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, reporting, and cost control
Act as first point of contact for operational and performance matters
Respond to patient feedback and complaints with professionalism and care
Contribute to marketing and practice growth initiatives across NHS and private services
Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in dental or healthcare practice management
Strong working knowledge of HIW compliance, NHS systems, and private dentistry
Experience using Dental Compliance Made Easy (desirable)
Confident in HR, financial management, and regulatory compliance
Familiar with dental software systems such as SOE, eDen, and Compass
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Able to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and foster a positive team culture
Ability to speak Welsh (desirable)
