Dental Receptionist

Job Description

We are an established group of Dental Practices offering Private dental care. We are looking to recruit a Dental Receptionist to join our team of Dental Professionals based at our state of the art practice. The ideal candidate will have dental experience and outstanding customer care experience although dental experience is preferred, it is not essential. You will be joining an experience team supported by our Clinic Manager. The role will involve dealing with patients both face to face and telephone. Experience with Exact dental software would be ideal but is not essential. The role will involve making appointments, operating the practice recall system, cash handling and ensuring each patient receives an outstanding patient journey. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a friendly professional team in a patient focused setting. The candidate but have excellent communication skills, be well spoken and be an ambassador for the Westmount Dental Brand.



Duties will include :-

Operate the practice software (Dentally) Answering the telephone and deal with patient enquiries in an efficient, positive and friendly manner Receive patients and visitors in a prompt, friendly professional manner Notify Clinicians of the patient's arrival Schedule patient appointments in accordance with practice policies and keep records of all appointments. Operate the practice recall system Prepare day sheets for each Clinician Collect and record patient payments and pursue any debts in accordance with the practice payments policy Liaise with dental laboratories, suppliers and organisations and record laboratory work in and out of the practice Deal with patient feedback in an appropriate manner and feed back to the practice manager about patient comments and complaints Support the sales of dental sundries to patients and ensure patients are provided the patients advice on the appropriate sundries for the their dental health to successful sale Manage the appointment book effectively to ensure targets are met Keep the reception are clean, tidy and welcoming Engage conversation with patients to ensure they feel at ease Attend regular weekly reception meetings Follow all policies in line with CQC requirements Act confidentially Speak up if things go wrong Ensure the environment is safe
