We are seeking a dedicated, professional and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist/ Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team. This position requires excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a passion for helping others in a healthcare setting. A strong work ethic and proactive approach is essential. The main duties will be that of receptionist and helping with clinical duties where necessary.
Receptionist Duties
Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the practice, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently.
Handle patient enquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
Assist with billing and insurance claims processing as required.
Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate seamless patient care.
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Skills
Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to interacting with patients.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficient IT skills for managing practice management software and other digital tools.
Highly organised with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.

Qualified Dental Nurse Duties
Provide clinical support in all areas of dentistry including assisstance during all dental procedures.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
Prepare patients for treatments by reviewing health history, and ensuring comfort.
Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, maintaining suction, and managing materials.
Maintain patient records, update charts, and document treatments and procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive dental health.
Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, answering calls, and managing patient enquiries.
Assist in managing patient flow and ensuring appointments run smoothly and on time.
