We are seeking a friendly and efficient Dental Receptionist/Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The role will be shared between clinical and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the practice. This role requires strong organisational skills and a keen attention to detail, as well as a passion for helping others.
Duties
Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.
Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations.
Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming for patients.
Prepare equipment, materials, lab work for daily running of surgery.
Supporting patients chair side with efficiency and empathy.
Assist with maintenance of the surgery.
Act as liaison between reception/surgeries.
Discuss treatment plans and the various options available to patients.
Overseeing patient recalls.
Qualifications
Proven experience in an administrative, front of house or office role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Proficiency in using office software and dental practice management systems is advantageous.
A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism.
Ability to work well within a team while also being self-motivated.

Practice Opening Hours:
Monday - Friday 8.30am-5.30pm
Alternate Saturdays: 8.30am-2.30pm
