Main duties, tasks & skills required

As a Dental Therapist, you'll deliver high-quality oral healthcare to a diverse range of patients, including those with special care needs, in both clinic and outreach settings. You'll use your clinical skills and work to your full scope of practice to deliver dental therapy procedures, manage pain and anxiety, and offer expert advice to colleagues. You'll play a key role in our multidisciplinary team, contributing to best practice discussions, clinical supervision, and service development through active involvement and discussion with your clinical team. Your commitment to kindness, respect, and teamwork will help create a positive environment for patients and staff alike. You'll be involved in clinical governance, audit, and lifelong learning, ensuring the highest standards of care. Flexibility, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping others are essential. Qualifications
Essential
Full GDC Registration.
Diploma or Degree in Dental Therapy.

Experience
Essential
Experience in carrying out clinical dental treatment within scope of practice.
Desirable
Experience with the anxious patient, those with additional needs and patients with challenging behaviour.

Additional Criteria
Essential
Must be a car driver with a valid driving licence or have access to transport with appropriate business insurance in order to travel throughout the Trust, to meet the needs of the service.
