Dental Therapist Required

We are looking for dental therapist to join our team. A versatile dental care professional who takes pride in their tasks to support patient's oral health. Working on referral from your colleagues by carrying out dental treatment as well as holding children clinics under direct access carrying out check ups and treatment. NHS Performer Number (can be obtained with us) Paid per UDA or hurly rate with private split. Competitive Earnings Duties include,

Preventive Care

: Providing dental health education and promoting good oral hygiene practices. This may involve giving advice on diet, flossing, and brushing techniques.

Clinical Procedures

: Performing a range of clinical procedures under the supervision of a dentist. This can include dental cleaning (scaling and polishing), applying fluoride treatments, placing temporary fillings, and taking dental impressions.

Restorative Work

: Carrying out restorative procedures such as fillings and extractions of primary (baby) teeth.

Patient Management

: Managing patients of all ages, with a particular focus on children and those with special needs. This includes conducting oral health assessments, diagnosing dental conditions, and formulating treatment plans.

Local Anaesthesia

: Administering local anaesthesia to patients to prepare them for various dental procedures.

Radiography

: Taking and interpreting dental X-rays as needed.

Collaboration

: Working closely with dentists, dental hygienists, and other dental team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Community Outreach

: Participating in community oral health programs and initiatives to raise awareness about dental health and prevent oral diseases.
Dental therapists are trained to provide a high level of care and are an essential part of the dental team, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and effective dental treatment.

Pay: From 79,910.00 per year
