Dental Therapist - Tuesdays

Minimum 6 months NHS dental experience required

Dental therapist required at a friendly, supportive independent practice in Shaw Heath, Stockport.

At the moment the surgery is only free on Tuesdays and some Fridays.

Our practice prides ourselves on being a small, friendly team dedicated to providing exceptional oral care in a supportive and collaborative environment. We're committed to delivering the best results for our patients whilst making sure everyone on our team feels appreciated and has opportunities to grow.

Our practice is a mixed NHS /private surgery practice and the therapist will have a dedicated experienced dental nurse.

It is a single surgery practice so the candidate will be need to confident working on site without a dentist.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic dental therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a great fit for our close-knit group, bringing both professional skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Conduct dental assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs. Provide preventive care, including cleanings and fluoride treatments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive measures. Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments performed.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to dental practices Experience with medical imaging techniques and technologies Ability to communicate effectively with patients and dental teams Familiarity with dental hygiene practices and patient care standards Relevant certifications in dental therapy or related fields GDC number required
