Rare opportunity has become available to join our friendly team at our modern practice.
Please note that you must be registered with the GDC to work as a therapist. Hours, days and pay are negotiable and dependent on experience and services provided.

Clinical duties

Provide advice and treatments in accordance with the 1986 Dental Auxiliaries Regulations (as amended) and the GDC guidance

Carry out treatment according to the dentist's written prescription

Treat patients according to the practice appointment scheduling system

Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice's health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions

Use all equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and ensure that they are maintained regularly and in good working order

Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed

Ensure the welfare of all patients

Be familiar and comply with all health and safety rules and guidance, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal etc

Take necessary steps to ensure GDC registration is maintained. This includes keeping up to date with CPD, meeting annual renewal deadlines and ensuring payment of GDC fees

Other

Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery

Ask the practice manager/receptionist to order new stock supplies as necessary

Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records

Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice

Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities

Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR

Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year
