Job Description

Launched in 2007 by Lady Dufferin,Clandeboye Estate produce a range of hand crafted Yoghurts made with the milk from our pedigree herds of Holstein and Jersey cows. The milk is taken fresh from the farm each morning and is processed and incubated slowly overnight to produce a rich and creamy natural yoghurt. In 2016 our Greek style yoghurt won 3 stars in the Great taste Award as well as Gold in the Blas nah Eireann Irish quality awards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



Production Output:



Challenge targets for on time delivery, output, quality, waste, yield and other associated KPIs;

Responsible for all production, quality and delivery issues to ensure they are investigated, and an acceptable outcome is reached by working with relevant departments;

Host a daily production meeting, ensuring all points raised are responded to and resolved appropriately;

Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and/or efficiency;

Ensure employees are trained in equipment operations, work and safety procedures as appropriate;

Review all orders to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs;

Team Supervision



Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members;

Provide guidance and direction to team members including setting performance standards;

In conjunction with the Operations Manager, conduct team member appraisals and create personal development plans;

Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked;

Manage all sickness absence including recording of telephone calls and completion of Return-to-Work Interviews;

Manage all holidays ensuring the completion of all appropriate administration and that they meet the needs of the business;

Confer with the Operations Manager to negotiate and handle team member complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts;

Ensure all colleagues are supervised effectively to achieve daily targets on production;

Customer Service



Have a well-rounded understanding of business requirements and the impact production has on overall profitability;

Understand the importance of customer service and the company culture relating to meeting our customers' expectations and supervise the team effectively to ensure this is achieved, within company guidelines.

Compliance & Quality



Ensure all team members comply with the operational standards set by BRC at all times;

Assist the Technical Manager and Operations Manager to ensure the site and team are prepared for and meet the standards required for a successful audit;

Assist the Technical Manager and Operations Manager with continuous improvement of quality system procedures to meet the targets set for customer service and product quality;

Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

Health & Safety



Ensure the team consistently meet and exceed both food and allergen safety procedures;

Ensure all team members comply with all PPE requirements;

Ensure all team members comply with the Health & Safety standards set by BRC with strict attention to hand hygiene including nails, hair, perfume and deodorant/body spray etc.;

Manage effective housekeeping within all areas of the site in line with company standards;

Support the Operations Manager in the completion of risk assessments as required in line with company timescales;

Ensure the correct paperwork is completed in line with any accidents on site and appropriate personnel informed.

Essential Criteria:



Minimum 2 years hands on experience in the role of Supervisor;

Excellent leadership skills with ability to supervise a variety of cross functional team members;

Excellent communication skills across a variety of media - verbal, written;

Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making;

Commercially aware;

Good planning, organizational and time management skills;

Fundamental understanding of the production process;

Passion for delivering excellent customer service;

Good general computer skills including the MS Office suite of tools.

Desirable Criteria



Knowledge of food production.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-36,000.00 per year
