Job Description

British Wool is a farmer run organisation which was established in 1950 to operate a central marketing system for fleece wool. We collect the most complex wool clip in the world from over 35,000 sheep farmers throughout the UK and prepare it for sale at electronic auction.

The Role -

Based in our Borders depot, Selkirk (TD7 5EQ), reporting the Depot Manager, you will be a pivotal part of the team working 15-16 hours per week over two days (flexible). You will play a key role in ensuring smooth depot operations and providing exceptional service to our members.

From answering calls and emails to managing member data, every day will bring new challenges where your organisational and communication skills will shine.

Key Responsibilities



Responding to Member correspondence and queries by email, phone and post

Maintain accurate member records in our system

Support member engagement projects, including contacting Members to maximise wool intake

What We Are Looking For



Excellent administration and organisational skills

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional manner and tone

Confidence and assertiveness when interacting with team members and clients

Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects for work

Good time management and organisational skills.
