Role Overview
Reporting to the DLC/Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in the efficient coordination and delivery of logistics support services to our Operations Groups. This includes coordinating the movement of stores, equipment, and plant, providing on-site support to engineering teams, and managing depot stores and materials. Your contributions will be essential in enabling our Operations Groups to achieve their targets while upholding compliance, safety, efficiency, and the cost-effective use of JDT assets.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in coordinating and delivering logistics support to Operations Groups as directed by the DLC/Logistics Department.
Manage the control (preparation, issuing, receipting, and reconciliation) of all Gas stores, including fittings and PE.
Support the control (preparation, issuing, receipting, and reconciliation) of all stores and equipment.
Assist in coordinating and controlling depot plant assets, both owned and hired.
Manage Chapter 8 stores, bulk fuel, and fuel pod usage as directed.
Maintain the Wessex depot real estate to ensure security, Health & Safety, and fire compliance, following DLC guidance and JDT directives.
Provide support to Logistics Operations and Logistics Support Operations teams with routine tasks and during periods of absence.
Maintain stores accounts using company information management systems, such as Ctrl Hub and PULSE.
Understand, coordinate, and conduct all activities in accordance with JDT directives and industry standards, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Coordinate the maintenance and condition of company vehicles under your responsibility, including completing daily checks and reporting any defects.
Drive safely, adhering to all driving regulations.
Assist the DLC with various tasks as required and provide cover during periods of absence.
Contribute to and support a diverse and inclusive working environment for all employees.
