Logistics Coordinator - Cumbernauld- 40 hours per week with rotational weekends



We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join our logistics team at our Cumbernauld depot.

Our Freight Coordinators play a key role in supporting our logistics operations and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key tasks and responsibilities:



Creating and managing bookings in the traffic management system, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Preparing relevant shipping documentation, including invoices, purchase orders and proof of delivery notes.

Updating the traffic management system with shipment tracking information and maintaining accurate proof of delivery documentation.

Providing excellent customer service by responding to customer enquiries efficiently and professionally.

Communicating and working effectively with colleagues across our internal depot network to provide updates on the movement of freight.

Assisting in resolving any transportation issues that may arise.

Coordinating local vehicle and plant hire.

Using Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and reporting purposes.

Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, protocols and schedules.

Being the QHSE Focal Point for the Cumbernauld depot.

Adhering to company health and safety regulations and standards.

Skills and Requirements:



A basic understanding of distribution planning principles and vehicle capacities

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)

Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to working with new systems.

Working knowledge of health and safety practices and principles.
