Depot Manager

to join our team and take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of our depot -- leading, motivating, and developing our teams while maintaining the highest operational standards.

What you'll do



As an essential part of the Operations team, you'll:

Provide strong, inspirational leadership that reflects our company values and maintains high standards within your depot Lead, coach, and develop your teams to achieve and exceed operational goals Meet and exceed targets across sales, profit, stock availability, utilisation, payroll, costs, customer satisfaction, safety, and compliance Drive operational efficiency by carefully managing schedules, resources, and depot cover Ensure all systems, procedures, and processes are followed so that information and invoicing are accurate Actively deliver change and continuous improvement initiatives across your depot Use local market knowledge to improve service and customer relationships Set clear targets, review performance, and support continuous development within your team Recruit, train, and build capability across your depot Manage cost centre and payroll expenditure within budget Support regional and national operational changes to ensure seamless customer service Maintain regular, high-quality communication across your team Visit key customers and promote teamwork between depot and sales teams Champion HSQE standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all Deliver operational KPIs in line with company expectations

What we're looking for



We're looking for an experienced leader who brings drive, focus, and energy to this role. You'll be a hands-on manager with strong commercial awareness and a passion for people and performance.

Proven management experience within plant hire, construction, or a related industry Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Confidence to influence, challenge, and make decisions Strong understanding of operational processes, safety, and compliance Knowledge of plant machinery and Microsoft Office applications Driven, organised, and results-focused with a can-do attitude
