Summary

We are seeking a Depot Manager to oversee our operations at our depot in Wellington, Somerset. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient logistics and recovery processes while maintaining high standards of service. The Depot Manager will play a key role in managing daily operations and leading our dedicated team.

Responsibilities

Manage daily depot operations to ensure efficient service delivery. Supervise and lead a team of recovery personnel and support staff. Coordinate logistics for vehicle recovery and transportation services. Monitor business processes for continuous improvement opportunities. Operate a telehandler to assist in loading damaged vehicles for salvage purposes. Carry out property searches and complete detailed logs in line with our contractual requirements. Manage processes to ensure our compliance with our work provider contracts. Liaise with the operations manager and control room to ensure smooth and functional business operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in depot or warehouse management roles. Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Ability to use a computer efficiently and type at a good rate. Ability to use a forklift/telehandler (training provided if not already certified).

Hours of work are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. With a 30 minute unpaid break.

Pay: From 25,350.00 per year
