Depot Supervisor

to join the team based in our

Dundee Depot (formerly known as Long Lane Delivery).

You will be working on a

full time, permanent

basis, working

4 on 4 off nights

and in return, you will receive a

highly

competitive salary of 43,620.20 per annum.

The Depot Supervisor role:

This is a fantastic role to really get your teeth into! Oversee all depot activities at night to ensure the smooth and efficient running of operational activities.

Wether it's fresh consignments or frozen goods, we have it covered! Langdons can deliver to almost any location in the UK or Ireland within 24 hours. We have 9 depots and over 375 lorries carrying chilled and frozen food all over the country. We're the only company providing a 24-hour service of this kind, and we are very good at it.

What you'll be doing as our Depot Supervisor:

Overall supervision of the Depot activities at night Dealing with any issues whilst drivers are out on the run for example breakdowns, accidents, discrepancies etc. Populating nightshift handover report Ensure all planned collection and deliveries take place Load lorries Shunting vehicles

General Responsibilities:

What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Depot Supervisor?

IT literate in Microsoft Office packages and have the ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data Excellent written and verbal communication PPT Experience HGV Licence

What skills are we looking for in our Depot Supervisor?

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and accurately, including reviewing others' work and providing constructive support. Leads by example with a positive, professional attitude and maintains respectful working relationships. Proactive in identifying and addressing recurring issues, implementing preventative solutions rather than short-term fixes. Reliable and dependable, with a strong sense of personal responsibility and commitment to completing tasks. Demonstrates good awareness of workplace safety, able to identify potential hazards and follow correct procedures to mitigate risks
