Following our recent move to a new facility, we're looking for a hands-on Depot & Transport Manager to help drive the next phase of growth at our East London depot.
This is a lead-from-the-front role, ideal for an experienced Depot Manager or a strong Supervisor ready to take the next step. You'll work closely with our Operations Manager and take ownership of day-to-day depot and transport operations, leading a team Supervisors, Picking, and Delivery teams.

What will you be doing?
Operations and Depot Management
Plan shifts, labour and resources with supervisors to meet daily targets
Ensure stock is received, stored correctly and discrepancies resolved
Monitor and report depot KPIs and drive continuous improvement
Maintain accurate, compliant operational documentation
Manage smooth handovers and escalate service issues where required
Transport & Fleet Management
Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, compliant and maintained
Plan delivery waves aligned to picking and customer requirements
Maintain transport logs, defect reporting and compliance records
Understand customer routes, expectations and service standard
People Leadership
Lead, motivate and develop supervisors, pickers and drivers
Conduct 1-to-1s, performance reviews and basic HR processes
Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
Ensure the depot is always audit-ready (health & safety, transport and food safety
Commercial Awareness
Support the Operations Manager by monitoring and reporting key depot costs such as labour hours, fuel usage and maintenance
Identify operational efficiencies and service improvements within the depot
Act as the day-to-day liaison between depot operations, customer care and management
Support system, process and operational improvements as the business continues to grow
What You'll Bring
Proven team leadership experience (depot, transport, warehouse or similar)
Knowledge of B2B delivery operations and fleet compliance
Experience with performance management and people development
Strong organisation and time management skills
A hands-on, accountable mindset, happy to roll sleeves up when needed
