Sylvan House Residential Home is a dedicated provider of 24 hour residential care within a home that is registered to support 20 residents.

Summary

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our compassionate team at Sylvan House Residential Home. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that our service users receive exceptional care and support tailored to their individual needs.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Supervise and support care staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with service users and families. Monitor medication administration and ensure proper documentation is maintained. Conduct regular assessments of service users' needs and adjust care plans accordingly. Provide leadership and training to staff, promoting continuous professional development. Engage with service users and their families to ensure satisfaction with services provided. Supporting the Home Manager with audits and regulatory compliance and deputising in Manager's absence.

Requirements

Experience in care home provision is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Knowledge of medication administration and care planning processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Compassionate approach to senior care, demonstrating empathy and understanding. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Evidence of personal and professional development: minimum NVQ 4 or willing to work towards Level 4, or degree preferred. Flexible approach to working hours. The role is advertised for 37.5 hrs a week but this may include early, late, night or weekend availability.
