We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Care Manager to help lead our dedicated team in providing therapeutic care to children and young people in our residential homes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a commitment to best practice, and a desire to help young people thrive.

Your Role





Leading care practices in the home and deputising for the Registered Manager Overseeing staff supervision, development, and performance Ensuring compliance with safeguarding protocols and regulatory requirements Working directly with children to promote positive relationships and outcomes Planning shifts, allocating resources, and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations Supporting the development and implementation of individual care and therapeutic plans Collaborating with external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for young people Promoting an inclusive, nurturing, and stable home environment

What we are looking for



Essential

:

1 years' experience in a supervisory or management role in residential care 2 years' experience working in residential childcare Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Willingness and ability to complete Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification Excellent understanding of child development, trauma-informed practice, and safeguarding Proven team leadership, organisation, and delegation skills Knowledge of regulations and legal frameworks in residential care Strong written and verbal communication skills Confident in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Full UK Driving Licence Resilience, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins Commitment to ongoing professional development

:

Level 5 qualification in Leadership & Management Experience managing staff performance and leading team development
