Deputy Care Manager (Operations)

to support the day-to-day operations of the service while also remaining actively involved in providing care when required.

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior carer, care coordinator, or deputy manager looking to progress within a supportive and values-driven organisation.

The Role



As Deputy Care Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager and Care Manager to ensure the smooth, safe, and effective running of the service. You will play a key role in operational management while also supporting care delivery in the community as needed.

Key responsibilities include:



Supporting the Care Manager with daily operations and service delivery Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, policies, and procedures Assisting with staff supervision, spot checks, supervisions, and performance monitoring Supporting rota planning, care scheduling, and continuity of care Conducting risk assessments, care plan reviews, and service user assessments Acting as a point of contact for clients, families, and professionals Providing hands-on care in the community when required, leading by example Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and staff training Deputising for the Care Manager in their absence

About You



We are looking for a compassionate, organised, and confident individual with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for community care.

Essential requirements:



Experience in domiciliary care (senior carer, care coordinator, or management level) Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements Ability to balance operational duties with hands-on care delivery Excellent communication and organisational skills NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum) Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional care calls Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable:



NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards) Experience supporting audits, inspections, or quality assurance
