The Cook role and responsibilities:

As a Cook

,

you will be supporting the Catering Manager in day-to-day running of the kitchen, and you will be point of contact for the catering team when the Catering Manager is absent.


You will be a part of the team for preparation and cooking of a range of meals. Your duties will also include kitchen tasks such as ensuring allergy compliance as well as maintaining health and safety standards.


If you have experience of working in a catering environment and the supervision of staff and you are committed to maintaining high standards of service, food quality and hygiene, then this may be the next role for you!


This role offers great flexibility of working hours and days, with an annualised system in place to ensure the needs of the service are met during busier periods of business but also ensuring employee security with a guaranteed monthly salary.

Our ideal Cook should have the below skills and experience:

You will be flexible to work hours between 7am-8pm and some weekends NVQ level 2 in food preparation/cooking or equivalent experience- Essential Food Safety Level 2 or 3 - Desirable A good understanding of allergens and intolerances - Essential Core Qualifications in Maths and English - Essential A clear understanding of COSHH and HACCP -Essential Experience of working in a catering environment and including the supervision of staff - Essential Full driving licence - Essential
