At Hft, a leading Social Care provider, we stand alongside learning disabled adults, empowering them to live life their way. As a Deputy Day Opportunities Manager, you'll work closely with the Day Opportunities Manager or Senior Day Opportunities Manager to shape services that open doors to learning, independence, and meaningful connections.
You'll guide and inspire your team to create safe, inclusive, and person-centred experiences. From everyday activities to new community opportunities, your leadership will help turn ordinary moments into meaningful experiences full of choice, dignity, and achievement.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Deputy Day Opportunities Manager, you'll be at the heart of the service; leading, supporting, and inspiring your team to deliver engaging, community-based day opportunities that make a real difference.
Lead and coordinate the delivery of a variety of day opportunities across multiple locations, enabling learning disabled adults to connect, develop, and thrive.
Spend around 60% of your time on shift, role-modelling best practice and providing hands-on support by leading activities, demonstrating how inclusive, empowering, and outcome-focused support looks.
Work closely with families, carers, and the wider community to create activities that promote independence and life skills.
Build strong partnerships with local authorities and community organisations to expand opportunities and pathways for learning disabled adults.
Ensure services are safe, inclusive, and continuously improving, celebrating successes and achievements along the way.
Enable access to education, employment, volunteering, and other community opportunities aligned with individuals' goals and aspirations.
Champion a positive, open culture where everyone is empowered to speak up about safeguarding and contribute ideas to improve services.
