Glasgow Science Centre (GSC) is an educational charity and leading science centre and visitor attraction with a 5-star status. Our mission is to inspire everyone to explore and understand the world around them and to discover and enjoy science.

Our state-of-the-art centre contains more than 450 interactive exhibits, a digital planetarium, a science show theatre, Newton Flight Academy, a teaching laboratory, an IMAX cinema, and a maker space. We also take science out of our centre and across Scotland with our On Tour programme and our Community Engagement Programme works closely with people in our local communities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Financial Controller within our small but dedicated finance team.

You will deputise for the Financial Controller in their absence, and support them in delivering accurate, timely and high-quality financial information to internal and external parties. You will provide support to all department and project managers with financial issues, and will be responsible for the management and development of the Finance Team.

The ideal candidate is confident in building relationships inter-departmentally, able to work well under pressure, is flexible in their approach to work and is enthusiastic about developing new ways of working.

Preferably the candidate will hold a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) or be working towards this but candidates with experience in finance who are keen to learn will also be considered.
