We are now looking for a
Deputy Head of Clinical Services
to join our leadership team, working closely with the current Head of Clinical Services. This role is part of our succession planning, offering a unique opportunity to grow into the Head of Clinical Services position within the next 1-2 years.
What You'll Be Doing
As Deputy Head of Clinical Services, you'll provide expert allergy knowledge, co-lead our Clinical Team, and represent the charity nationally and internationally. You'll help shape and deliver our clinical strategy, ensuring excellence in patient support and advocacy.
You will:
Co-manage and provide leadership to our Clinical Services team
Take clinical responsibility for specific projects, research, and service delivery
Provide expert guidance and support across Allergy UK, including to helpline staff and communications teams
Act as a spokesperson, providing media commentary and professional articles
Represent Allergy UK with healthcare, research, and policy bodies
Lead on safeguarding and uphold high standards of clinical practice
Mentor and develop clinical staff, ensuring continuous learning and service excellence
Deputise for the Head of Clinical Services when required
What We're Looking For
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
NMC registration (RN1/RN8) and a relevant post-registration or postgraduate specialist qualification
Extensive clinical experience in both adult and child allergic disease
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication abilities with patients, professionals, and the public
Project management experience with the ability to deliver on strategic objectives
A flexible, innovative, and problem-solving approach
It would be a bonus if you also bring mentorship, research, management or teaching qualifications, and confidence in media or public-facing work.
