The Role:

Head of Clinical Services

Location:

South East England, Hybrid working, 2-3 days per week in office, future presence in London may be discussed

Direct Reports:

Managing up to 5 Clinical Team Leads

Parking:

Free parking onsite at the South East England office

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm (1-hour lunch), please note due to this role requiring a candidate being GMC qualified, the client would consider someone 4 days a week.

Salary:

Negotiable DOE + Benefits

A fast-scaling, innovation-driven healthcare organization is seeking a Head of Clinical Services to lead the development and delivery of safe, efficient, and forward-thinking care models. Operating at the intersection of technology, private healthcare, and regulated therapies, this role is critical in building a clinically excellent and commercially scalable service offering. You'll shape strategy, guide clinical teams, and drive operational innovation in a high-growth, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities



Commercial & Growth Orientation



Balance clinical quality with operational and commercial performance Contribute to P&L oversight, pricing models, and commercial forecasting Identify and support opportunities to optimize revenue and cost efficiency Influence product and marketing initiatives to support patient acquisition, engagement, and retention Represent clinical interests in commercial partnerships and external stakeholder conversations

Leadership & Strategy



Lead and develop clinical teams to ensure delivery of safe, high-quality care Set and execute clinical strategy aligned with industry standards and regulated treatment frameworks Partner with executive leadership to shape business direction, product strategy, and service expansion Drive continuous improvement through evidence-based practices and innovative care models

Innovation & Technology in Care



Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance telemedicine platforms and digital patient journeys Leverage technology to deliver compliant and accessible treatments Support the introduction of new services, therapies, and digitally enabled care pathways

Operational & Regulatory Excellence



Ensure full compliance with GMC, CQC, and relevant medical legislation and guidance Lead on patient safety, risk management, adverse event protocols, and clinical governance Play a hands-on role in operational delivery, particularly during periods of growth or service transformation

Team Development



Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing clinical staff aligned with the organization's mission Build a culture of learning, excellence, and innovation across clinical teams Guide clinical team leads to support performance, quality, and morale

What You Bring



GMC-registered medical doctor in good standing (Essential) Experience in private healthcare, healthtech, or direct-to-consumer digital health services Exposure to or a strong interest in patient treatment pathways Familiarity with direct-to-consumer health tech platforms, including telemedicine or digital health solutions. A proven track record of clinical leadership with commercial insight and business acumen Experience with medical treatments, patient management, and associated regulations * Comfortable working in high-growth, regulated, and tech-enabled environments
