Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Deputy Head of School for Adult Education due to a period of planned leave within the team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the school, working closely with your team and Head of School, you will look to develop a high-quality, innovative curriculum that meets local and regional needs for both learners and employers and delivers high quality outcomes for students with performance aligned to the College strategic ambitions.

The department delivers courses from pre-entry to Level 7 qualifications, funded through a range of sources including the ASF, ALL, Tailored learning, and self-funding. The successful candidate will oversee every stage of the learner journey, you will ensure that all programmes meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and learner experience, working with the HoS to manage budgets effectively.

We are looking for someone with skills and knowledge of the relevant curriculum area. You will use your knowledge and skills to drive forward an innovative, successful provision. Your core knowledge of the sector will enhance the learning experience for students to ensure that they can progress into their chosen career.

It is important that you can support and encourage your colleagues so the ability to manage and act as direct support for the Head of School is essential. You will be a self-motivated individual eager to develop and take on further responsibility.
