Nottingham University Samworth Academy has an exciting opportunity for a visionary and compassionate Deputy Head Teacher of Inclusion.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the school, leading on behaviour, inclusion, attendance, safeguarding, and pastoral care. You will join a dynamic and values-driven leadership team committed to transforming the lives of young people.
Your main responsibilities within this role will be:
Lead on safeguarding as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Strategically lead behaviour, inclusion, attendance, and pastoral systems
Line manage SEND, Heads of Year, and the Inclusion Team
Oversee PSHCE, student leadership programmes, and tutor systems
Develop and implement strategies to support vulnerable students and improve attendance
Promote a culture of high expectations, integrity, and care across the school
Contribute to school improvement planning and leadership development
Maintain high standards of communication with parents and external agencies
