Main Purpose
The Deputy Head, under the direction of the Headteacher, will:
Lead whole school strategic areas, according to interest and experience.
Have a class teaching commitment, complying with the teachers' standards and
modelling best practice for others.
Develop high-quality teaching and learning across the whole school through
collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and all staff, ensuring that all
learners have access to the highest educational provision possible, so that they
achieve well as individuals, and that the achievement of the school as a whole, is high.
The Deputy Head, under the direction of the Headteacher, will take a major role in:
Promoting and upholding our vision and values.
Formulating the aims and objectives of the school.
Leading and managing school improvement, especially in targeted areas as identified
in the school improvement plan.
School Self-Evaluation.
Data and Assessment.
Managing staff and resources.
Implementing Policies.
Developing positive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents, staff, and
governors in order to promote and sustain motivation and the desire to succeed.
To deputise for the Headteacher in their absence and share responsibility for the day-to-day running of the school.
Duties and Responsibilities:

the school and may be shared.
