About Us:



Acacia Therapy Homes is currently embarking on a new and exciting journey of opening new Therapeutic Emotional and Behavioural therapeutic children's homes across Staffordshire for children aged 7 to 18. The service will be embedding the ARC-PACE model for therapeutic input. Our senior management team have extensive knowledge and experience in working in Children's Residential services, as well as working with vulnerable children, young people and their families.

About You:



You will be an experienced leader within a residential setting and have a minimum of 2 years' experience of regulated residential children's homes. You will have experience of leading and supervising a team of staff that will report to you and be confident in deputising in the absence of the Registered Manager.

You will have the relevant skills and experience in relation to Ofsted regulations to support the compliance of the home. You will support the homes manager in delivering high quality care for the children and young people that reside in the home, as well as the developments of the home.

The Roles and Responsibilities:



You'll support and assist the Registered Manager in the effective day to day running of the home in line with Ofsted regulations, and will be accountable for a variety of different areas of responsibility, this will include:

Manage the service effectively in the absence of the Registered Manager.

Take responsibility for planning shifts and ensuring the smooth running of the service.

Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural, culture and educational needs of our young people.

Provide managerial control and direction in relation to staff duties and responsibilities.

Assist the Registered Manager with the recruitment and retention of staff team.

Lead the team to deliver high quality care to our young people.

Ensure all risks are safely managed in line with Company policies and procedures.

Regularly review the young people's care plans and other associated documentation.

Provide support to the Registered Manager to ensure the completion of day-to-day tasks.

Complete on call duties on a rota basis.

Undertake responsibility for regular supervisions, addressing performance issues and identifying training and development needs.

Promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each young person.

A desire to learn, we provide training and apprenticeships for you to achieve your full potential.

Quality Assurance and Monitoring to ensure compliance with Ofsted Regulations.

Coaching and supporting Residential Support Workers and Team Leaders.

Leading and supporting with shifts, to ensure that staff and children are supported to achieve the best possible outcomes.

To Be Considered:



Achieve or hold a Diploma Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce, Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent.

Willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Residential Management).

Have good Safeguarding knowledge and a commitment to safeguarding children and young people.

Have a full driving licence.

Ability to be flexible in working hours.
