About this Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a child-focused, passionate and experienced Deputy Homes Manager to join our new Children's Residential service here in Solihull. Whether you are currently a Deputy Manager or Team Leader in a Children's Home looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
This is a pivotal role supporting the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs (EBD). You'll play a key part in leading the care team, maintaining compliance with Ofsted standards, and ensuring that every child in our home receives the support, stability, and opportunities they need to thrive.
You will be working alongside the Registered Manager, supported by the Operations Manager / Responsible Individual in shaping and delivering the Homes Statement of Purpose, Children's Guide, Location Risk Assessment and managing the team to achieve the standards identified within this, working in line with the Children's Home Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be:
Working towards or hold a Diploma Level 3 / 4 in Residential Childcare or Children & Young People Workforce or Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent.
Able to demonstrate significant experience working in a residential setting with children and young people with challenging behaviour or in setting working with challenging young people.
Experienced in supervising and managing staff and also manging resources
Able to demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and current local developments in respect of Residential Children's homes, including:
+ The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 including national minimum standards
+ Social care common inspection framework (SCCIF): Children's homes and Looked after Children's frameworks Able to be flexible in working hours, including sleep ins (for which an additional payment will be made).
Committed to your own and your team's continuous professional development.
Able to Awareness of safeguarding issues and ability to safeguard the welfare of vulnerable children and young people and a commitment to do so.
Able to develop and maintain good working relationships and work collaboratively with a range of agencies
Able to show the tenacity and resilience required to drive forward continuous improvement to deliver the exceptional care our children and young people deserve.
