Main duties of the job
It's been an exciting time at Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust as we continue our journey of "Being our Best", and our mission to provide world-class patient care.
The post holder will support the Claims Manager - Claims to plan and deliver robust systems and processes for ensuring that all Claims are effectively managed to minimise their financial impact, and to ensure that remedial action contributing to the reduction of clinical and financial risks. The post holder will manage their own caseload and be proactive and dynamic in ensuring that lessons from Claims are learned and shared widely, and that they contribute to continuous service improvement and the highest standards of patient care.
Support and update the Claims Manager - Claims in the day to day management of Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury Claims, RTC and Inquests to ensure that claims are managed in accordance with Health Board's policies, and in accordance with Welsh Office Circular Welsh Health Circular (97) 17 and the Civil Procedure Rules.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
