We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our senior care facility. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the care home, ensuring that all residents receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs. Duties
Supervise and manage the care team, ensuring adherence to care plans and high standards of service delivery.
Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for residents, adapting them as necessary to meet changing needs.
Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in delivering effective senior care, including dementia care strategies.
Conduct regular assessments of resident wellbeing and satisfaction, addressing any concerns promptly.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
Maintain accurate records of resident care and staff performance, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional development among staff.
Skills
Proven experience in managing teams within a senior care or nursing home setting.
Strong understanding of dementia care principles and practices.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively.
Proficient in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and regulatory compliance within the healthcare sector.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact empathetically with residents and families.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
