We seek a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our home environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for young people's care, particularly in supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, from 7 - 17 years. As the Deputy Manager, you will support the overall management of the facility, ensuring that all residents receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
Assist in the management of daily operations within the home.
Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Develop and implement personalised care plans for young people, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices in young people's care.
Maintain accurate records of young people's care and staff performance.
Liaise with families and external agencies to promote effective communication regarding young people's wellbeing.
Ensure the facility complies with all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Requirements
Proven leadership experience in a similar role within an EBD or LD home setting.
Strong knowledge of young people's care practices and principles.
Experience in supervising staff and managing teams effectively.
Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual young people's needs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on empathy and understanding.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to young people.
Relevant qualifications in health and social care or Residential care are essential.
