Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in a dynamic care environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the management of our nursing home, assisted living, or care home facility. This position involves supervising staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care plans, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Applicant will be enrolled on to there level 5 as part of development within the role.

Responsibilities

Assist in the overall management of the care facility, ensuring operational efficiency and high standards of resident care. Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance on medication administration and care practices. Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to the needs of residents. Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, making necessary adjustments to care plans as required. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for residents. Manage daily operations, including staffing schedules and resource allocation. Foster a positive environment for both staff and residents, promoting teamwork and effective communication. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as organisational policies.

Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a nursing home, assisted living, or home care setting. Strong understanding of care plans and medication administration protocols. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and compassion. Ability to assess situations critically and make informed decisions promptly. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in the care sector. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks effectively.
