Deputy Manager - Pioneering New Project Supporting Young Peoples Transition to Independence
Salary:
40,777 - 45,091 (starting salary within the grade range will consider experience relevant to the post, if required for external candidates).

About the Project
This pioneering service is designed to support young people aged 16-17 who are preparing to leave care and move towards independence. Our approach is rooted in relationship-based practice, trauma-informed care, and youth empowerment, creating a nurturing environment where young people can build confidence, resilience, and life skills.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to lead a dynamic team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. You will: Support the day-to-day running of the home and deputise in the Registered Managers absence.
Build strong relationships with young people, families, and professionals.
Champion best practice and lead on training and development.
Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and aspiration.
Contribute to continuous improvement through quality assurance and reflective practice.
What Were Looking For
Significant experience in the residential care of children, with young people transitioning to independence would be advantageous.
A Level 3 Diploma for Residential Child Care (or equivalent).
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations 2015, Ofsted inspections, and Regulation 44.
A commitment to evidence-based practice and innovation.
