We provide care for up to three incredible young people. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced leader who wants to a strong team that requires a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager to strengthen what we do.
The candidate will
:
Have demonstrable experience of acting ethically, with integrity and empathy as well as a commitment to working towards these values
Have a strong commitment to safeguarding and working inclusively
Have demonstrable knowledge, empathy and awareness of the issues faced by young people and an understanding of how this may affect behaviour
Act as a role model, be able to empower, motivate and provide a high level of support for seniors, support workers and young people
Constantly strive to promote company values and high standards of professional practice
Be confident in supporting young people with emotional behavioural difficulties and managing challenging behaviour
Will strive to create and maintain a positive culture within the home, nurture staff and respond effectively when things don't go according to plan
Be able to confidently and competently lead the team and support the home's manager with the overall running of the home
Requirements for the role:
Working knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, Children's Home Regulations and relevant legislation
Experience and competency with undertaking administration tasks relevant to the role
Demonstrable experience of leading, supervising and coaching staff
At least 3 years' experience within children's residential homes, with a minimum of 1 year in a senior role
Diploma Level 3 Children and Young Persons Workforce
Enrolled on Level 5 Management, or willing to work towards achieving this
This is a full-time role and will involve being part of an on-call rota, and on a '1 on 2 off' shift pattern with the rest of the team.
Must have a full UK driving license
Candidates are required to complete an enhanced DBS check and register on the update service, provide details of gaps in employment, a full employment history and references covering the last 5 years. Where candidates have worked with vulnerable groups for over 5 years, further verification checks will be completed.
