Job Description

Medway Council are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for their rated "Good in all areas" children's home located in beautiful Upnor, in Medway. The home was described as having a "highly skilled positive team where all the children are happy, safe and making progress". The amazing home is set in an acre of beautiful grounds on the edge of Upnor and is registered to be a "place called home" up to 5 children aged 11-17.


You will be part of the wider Children's commissioning team giving you a wide range of support and opportunities and will work with a dynamic staff team and have access to a range of training and development opportunities.


You will work alongside the Registered Manager and the management in motivating and leading a staff team to ensure the highest level of care is provided to children with behavioural and emotional difficulties.

Interviews will be held 05 & 06 June 2025

About you

You will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare and be committed to attaining the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. You will have proven experience in the supervision and management of staff working in a care role. You will have significant experience of working in a residential children's home. You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes
