We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our supported living care company. The successful candidate will support the management team in delivering high-quality care, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with care standards. This role offers the right applicant to develop their leadership skills within a compassionate small care environment. The Deputy Manager will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and nurturing atmosphere for the people we support with Learning Disabilities, Autism.
Duties
Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on delivering person-centred care.
Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans tailored to individual service users needs.
Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with prescribed protocols, auditing and ordering of service users medication
Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards.
Support service users with daily activities, promoting independence and dignity within a caring environment.
Lead staff training sessions on topics such as autism, Epilepsy, medication administration, and emergency procedures and many more.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
Assist with audits, reporting, and maintaining accurate documentation related to service users care needs and funding.
Experience
Proven experience working within learning disabilities a must.
Demonstrated management or supervisory experience within a care home or similar setting. CQC experience.
Level 3 or higher in H&S care
Knowledge of developing and implementing personalised care plans aligned with regulatory standards.
Experience in medication administration is essential.
Leadership qualities coupled with excellent organisational skills are required to succeed in this role.
