Deputy Manager - Holding the Line, Lifting Young Lives

Location:

B91, Birmingham

Salary:

16.50+ per hour + 70 per sleep-in

Shifts:

11 per month (typically 2-3 per week)

Shift Pattern:

8am-8pm including sleep-ins

Contract:

Permanent, Full-time

We're seeking a passionate and proactive

Deputy Manager

to join a children's home supporting young people aged

10-17

with

Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

What You'll Do

Provide day-to-day guidance, emotional support, and stability for young people Promote positive routines, social development, and emotional resilience Take children out on meaningful activities that support their well-being Supervise staff in the absence of the Registered Manager Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and team development Ensure compliance with care standards and safeguarding regulations

What You'll Need

Experience working in a residential childcare setting Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team A calm, compassionate approach to supporting challenging behaviours Excellent communication and organisational skills A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards Level 5
