Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Setting

Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week | Flexible Rota Including Weekends & Nights

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in residential childcare who is ready to step into a Deputy role--or continue growing at a senior level--while shaping positive outcomes for young people.

Your Role:

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you'll play a key part in overseeing the home's day-to-day operations. You'll provide guidance to the team, uphold care quality, and help foster a supportive, consistent environment where young people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in the home's budget management and resource planning Providing leadership and mentoring to care staff Ensuring care delivery aligns with regulatory standards and inspection frameworks Monitoring staff performance, development, and training needs Coordinating personalised care strategies for each young person Promoting a stable, secure, and encouraging home environment Driving ongoing service improvement and effective practice
What You'll Bring:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

(mandatory)

Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care - Children & Young People

or willingness to enrol A minimum of

2 years' experience

in a supervisory role within children's residential care Previous experience as a Deputy Manager is helpful but not required Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory expectations Excellent team leadership, communication, and time-management skills Confident with digital records and care documentation systems
