Nursery Deputy Manager - Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Deputy Manager

to join our nursery team and support the day-to-day operations of our vibrant childcare setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual looking to take the next step in their early years career.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of the nursery. Lead, mentor, and supervise staff to maintain high standards of care and education. Organise staff rotas to ensure appropriate coverage across all rooms. Assist with onboarding, training, and performance reviews of team members. Monitor stock levels and ensure resources and equipment are well-maintained. Uphold compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:

Must be aged

23 or over

(in line with minimum standards). Hold a

Level 5 qualification in Childcare, Learning and Development (CCLD)

or be actively working towards it. Other relevant qualifications must include

staff management and supervision modules

. It would be desirable to hold valid

Designated Officer

and

Paediatric First Aid

certificates. Training can be provided if certificates are not currently held. Proven experience in a similar leadership role within an early years setting. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks. A caring and compassionate approach with a genuine passion for working with children.
