At First Steps Nursery, we are a small, community-focused nursery where families and children are at the heart of everything we do. We love the outdoors!!! we supply the waterproofs, you just need to bring your wellies. We often take the children out in the local community such as Hollingwoth lake, the park, the library, the canal and local woodlands.

We are a small team with some long standing practitioners. We are open, honest and support each other. First Steps Nursery are looking for a passionate, inspirational and committed Deputy Manager to join our small friendly team.

Main Roles and Responsibilities will be:-

To support the aims and objectives of the nursery and assist the Manager in the organisation of a high-quality establishment for all children in our care The role will require the successful candidate to lead a room with some designated office time to support the Manager To provide high standards of care and early learning to promote individual children's personal, emotional, social and educational needs Ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted To support the team in order to provide an enabling environment, ensuring the very best outcomes for children To support First Steps strong partnership between parents, families and other professionals To ensure that the Statutory Guidance and Ofsted requirements are being met and monitored to continue the highest of standards To deputise for the Manager in her absence, which will include opening and closing the nursery.
Qualifications:- A minimum of Level 3

Must have experience of being in a Deputy Manager or Leadership Role for a minimum of 1 year

1,000 financial incentive recruitment bonus for new and returning early years (EY) educators.

4 Day working week avaliable

Initial DBS cost will be met by the employer.
